Indoor space

A Halloween dog party indoors, Sunday 25 October

Bosly's Backyard calls itself Chicago's private indoor dog park — about 2,400 square feet on Ravenswood Avenue, normally booked by the session for one dog or one household at a time. Once a year it opens up for Wag-O-Ween, now in its fifth year.

What the venue publishes:

  • Trick-or-treating for dogs, with costumes "highly encouraged".
  • A costume contest — your entry is included in the ticket, and coordinated dog-and-owner costumes are welcome.
  • A market of local small businesses — the event page names around twenty and the events page says twenty-five, from treat bakers to pet photographers and a canine massage therapist — plus a painting station, portraits and professional photos.
  • Food and drinks. The page also mentions a Chicago-based charity without naming it or saying what it receives.

Tickets are $15 per person and include entry, a tote bag and the costume contest entry. The venue recommends buying in advance and says the event sells out every year; walk-ins are taken if there is room. Dogs are welcome but not required.

Two things to check before you go

The finishing time. Bosly's own pages disagree: the ticket page says 12pm to 4pm, the events page 12pm to 5pm. Plan around 4pm.

Vaccinations. Bosly's FAQ sets rules for any session where dogs mix — spayed or neutered, and current on rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella. It does not say whether those apply to market days. If your dog is intact or behind on bordetella, ask first rather than at the door.

Why indoors matters in late October

Most Chicago dog events are outdoors and end with the patio season. This one is not, which is why it can run in late October without a weather caveat. For more, see Events and Meetups.

Provenance

Date, times, price, inclusions and vendors from Bosly's Backyard's own ticket and events pages, and the vaccination rules from its FAQ, all read 14 October 2026. The year is not printed on the page; 25 October is a Sunday in 2026, which matches. The listing retires itself after the event.

Lost dog? Chicago Animal Care and Control at 2741 S Western is the city's open-admission shelter and the first place to look.

Good to Know
$15 per person, including entry, a tote bag and a costume contest entry; Bosly's recommends advance tickets and says the event sells out every year. Its own two pages give different finishing times, 4pm and 5pm. Bosly's FAQ requires dogs in mixed sessions to be spayed or neutered and current on rabies, distemper/parvo and bordetella, and does not say whether that applies to the market; ask if in doubt. Free street parking on Ravenswood, per the venue.
