Dogs Deserve It

Dogs Deserve It publishes no office address and lists six neighborhoods it serves.

Walks are for one household at a time, with no more than two dogs per client. Group field trips are the one exception.

Published prices:

• Weekly plan (three or more weekday visits): 15 minutes $25, 25 minutes $31, 40 minutes $39
• As needed: 15 minutes $30, 25 minutes $37, 40 minutes $47
• Mornings, evenings and weekends +$6; extra dog +$5
• In-home pet sitting $135 a day (up to three walks), $180 on holidays; hourly sitting $40
• Field trips $50–$75

The site does not say the day rate includes someone staying overnight, so ask.

On trust, the company says it is insured, bonded and licensed by the City of Chicago, that walkers are employees, and that pet CPR certification is required for every walker. Walks are GPS-tracked with photos.

Rescue dogs get their first three walks free, with a six-month minimum.
