Kimpton Gray Hotel

The Loop
Pet Fee None

About

A Loop hotel that charges no pet fee and sets no weight, size, breed or number limit — the hotel's own page says any pet that fits in the elevator is welcome.

Kimpton Gray is on Monroe Street in the Loop.

Its pet policy sets almost no limits. In the hotel's own words, pets of "any size, weight or breed" are welcome, with no extra charge and no deposit. The one practical limit it names is that the pet has to fit in the elevator.

What it provides: a loaner pet bed, food and water bowls, mats, courtesy bags, a door hanger telling housekeeping there is a pet in the room, and a concierge list of local pet services. Pets are also welcome at the hotel's nightly wine hour.

What it does not publish: whether a dog may be left alone in the room, and whether a crate is required. Ask at check-in.

The hotel's own page points to Grant Park and the Riverwalk for walks. In Chicago a dog must be leashed everywhere except inside a fenced Dog Friendly Area, and using one needs a Park District permit.

Good to Know
No pet fee and no deposit. No published weight, size, breed or number limit — the hotel says the pet must fit in the elevator. Not published: rules on leaving a dog alone in the room. Part of IHG's Kimpton brand. Policy read from the hotel's own pet page on 2026-10-13.
