About
Two patios a block off the Magnificent Mile, open from 11am or 11:30am daily — a rare downtown option that does not wait until evening.
Amenities
A corner tap on Superior Street, a block west of the Magnificent Mile, known for hot wings and daily drink specials. Time Out reports two big patios, which is unusual this close to the shopping district.
It is open from late morning, every day — 11:30am Monday through Thursday, 11am Friday through Sunday. That makes it one of the few downtown venues in this directory that works for a daytime stop rather than an evening one.
Dogs are reported rather than published. do312's dog-friendly patio guide names it and says dogs "join in on the fun." Jake Melnick's own site gives the address, phone and hours and says nothing about dogs or the patios, so both the dog welcome and the two patios come from the press here, not from the bar.
A note on the hours, because two sources disagree. The bar's own site says it closes at 10:30pm Monday to Thursday and Sunday, and 11pm Friday and Saturday. Time Out has it running to midnight and 2am. The hours recorded here are the bar's own, which is the rule at every tier — but it means the late-night times you may find elsewhere are out of date.
On the neighborhood. 41 E Superior sits south of Chicago Avenue, which puts it in River North rather than the Gold Coast; do312 files it under both. River North is where you will find it on a map.
Chicago's rules for dogs on a patio that serves food are on the Patios and Restaurants page.
