Le Barkery and Spa

Le Barkery and Spa is on Broadway in Uptown. It describes itself as a bakery, a spa and a boutique for pets, and the bakery is what most people come for.

What it bakes, with the prices it publishes:

• Happy Birthday Cake, 4 inches, peanut butter, sold frozen — $40 to $115 depending on the option
• Custom PupCakes, a 6-pack or 12-pack with mashed-potato frosting — $22 to $42
• Mini Pupcake — $2.50
• Custom Cake, 6 inches, shaped and decorated to order — from $65
• Seasonal and novelty items, such as a pumpkin pie for dogs and a gender-reveal dog cake

Order ahead. The custom 6-inch cake needs at least 96 hours' notice, and custom-colour pupcakes need 24 hours. Orders can be placed online for pickup, and the shop ships within the US for a flat $15.

Also here: a bookable self-serve dog wash, and the shop says a groomer is now available.

Closed Tuesdays. Open until 7pm most days and 5pm on Sundays.
