Sit Social

A small-dog specialist on Clark Street in Lakeview, taking dogs of 30 lbs and under for daycare, overnight boarding and grooming.

The size limit is the point. Most Chicago facilities separate small dogs from large ones inside a mixed building. Sit Social takes only the small ones, which means a 12 lb dog is never sharing a floor with a 90 lb one. If your dog is over 30 lbs this is not an option; if it is well under, it is a meaningfully different proposition from a general facility's small-dog room.

Boarding. Published at $125 per day. The site describes cosy accommodation and ambient sleep music, and advertises care on site 24/7, though it does not go further into how the overnight shift is staffed.

What is not published. Vaccination requirements, temperament or evaluation requirements, and whether boarding is cage-free are not stated on the site. Those are the questions to raise when you call.

Hours. Weekdays 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. Weekend access is a two-hour window, 10:00 AM to noon, which is short — plan a Saturday pickup carefully.
