What we can tell you

Lizard's Liquid Lounge is a neighborhood bar at 3058 W Irving Park Road, in Irving Park. Its website is plainly maintained — the artwork rotates, there is a monthly calendar of who is tending bar, and the footer runs to 2026 — but it is built almost entirely out of pictures. The address, the opening hours and even the banner announcing new hours are images rather than text.

So this listing has no opening hours, and that is deliberate. Nothing we could read publishes them. Call 773-463-7599, or open the bar's own calendar page, before you make the trip with a dog.

The dog claim, and where it comes from

Lizard's says nothing about dogs anywhere on its own site. The dog welcome here is reported rather than published: a Chicago veterinary clinic's guide to dog-friendly bars in the city, last updated in March 2025, lists Lizard's and adds that there are 'doggy treats from time to time.' That is the whole of the evidence, and it is worth knowing it is second-hand before you arrive with a dog.

That same guide files Lizard's under Albany Park. The address is in Irving Park, and we have tagged it where it is.

Why a bar can do what a restaurant cannot

Chicago's rules turn on a licence rather than on goodwill. A premises holding a retail food establishment licence may only take dogs in a designated outdoor area; a tavern not operating under that licence is not inside the same framework at all.
