The Dog Friendly Area at McKinley Park, on Pershing Road. McKinley is a large park with a lagoon and open space, so the DFA works well as one stop on a longer visit.

Off-leash inside the gates only — dogs must be leashed before entering and on the way out.

Good to Know
Chicago Park District DFA — a permit and tag are required for every dog, renewed annually. Bring a current Chicago dog license or proof of rabies vaccination, vaccination records (distemper, hepatitis, parainfluenza, parvovirus, bordetella, leptospirosis) and a recent fecal test.
