Note the Wednesday exception — it closes two hours earlier than the rest of the week. Easy to get caught out by.

This is the best-covered grooming option on the Southwest Side. Archer Heights, Brighton Park, McKinley Park, West Lawn and Garfield Ridge have very little else: the only independent the directory has verified in this part of the city is Puppy Haberdashery on 79th Street, which is appointment-only, and Zoomin Groomin's van, which reaches 60638 and not much more. Seven days a week with weeknight hours is a real difference out here.

Walk-in quick services — nail trims, teeth brushing, ear cleaning — need no appointment. Baths and full grooms should be booked.

Services: bath and groom for all breeds and coats, de-shedding packages, and handling for matted coats. PetSmart states its stylists complete an in-house program of 800-plus supervised hours.

This is a national chain, not an independent salon.

Getting there: Pulaski at Archer, on the #53 Pulaski and #62 Archer bus lines, with a store lot. Straightforward by car.
