The Bar on Buena

A neighborhood bar on a residential side street off Broadway, doing burgers, whiskey and craft beer. It is the first Going Out listing in Uptown, which had parks and a vet on this site but nowhere to sit down with a dog.

Two patio facts the bar publishes itself, and both matter. The patio is first come, first served, run with a waitlist when it fills — reservations are taken for inside seating only, for parties of six or more, and the bar says plainly it may not be able to seat a large group outside. And the patio closes at 11pm nightly, before the bar does. Turning up at midnight with a dog means the indoor room, which is a different proposition.

Dogs are reported rather than published. do312's dog-friendly patio guide names the place and says dogs are invited; the bar's own site, which is otherwise unusually specific about how the patio works, says nothing about them. So the patio details here are the bar's own and the dog welcome is do312's.

The hours are published as closing times, not a schedule. The bar gives kitchen close at 11pm Monday to Saturday and 10pm Sunday, bar close at 1am Sunday to Thursday and 2am Friday and Saturday, and weekend brunch 11am to 3pm. It does not publish opening times on its own site, so this listing records what it does publish rather than filling the gap from elsewhere.
