About
Wicker Park cafe on North Avenue with fenced outdoor seating, which makes it one of the easier patios here if your dog pulls toward the sidewalk.
Amenities
A long-running café on North Avenue, a block from the Wicker Park dog-friendly area.
The fence is the point. Its outdoor seating is enclosed rather than open to the pavement — a Chicago dog guide describes the dog-friendly outdoor area as "enclosed with fencing." Most café patios in this category are open sidewalk tables, so this is a meaningfully easier setup for a dog that lunges at passing bikes or other dogs.
Open 7am to 4pm Monday to Saturday, 8am to 4pm on Sunday.
There is a second Gallery Cafe at 734 N Milwaukee Ave in River West, inside the Avenir apartment building. It is indoors and is not covered by anything said here about the patio.
The café publishes no dog policy of its own. See the Patios and Restaurants page for what Chicago's dog-friendly-area ordinance requires — the enclosure and street access it describes are exactly what the rule is about.
