About
Walk-in emergency hospital on South Clinton, open 24 hours a day, every day. No appointments.
VEG's South Loop location on South Clinton Street covers the south and west sides of downtown. Like the Lincoln Park location, it is emergency-only and takes no appointments.
From their own site: "Our pet hospital is open 24 hours, every day… No appointment needed, walk in 24/7."
If your dog is in trouble right now: 872-710-5226. Call on your way so they are ready for you.
Hours and 24/7 status confirmed 2026-09-22 from the hospital's own website. Emergency only — this is not a general practice. No appointments are taken; walk in or call. The address on S. Clinton sits closer to the West Loop and Roosevelt Road than to the South Loop proper, and is tagged South Loop to match the hospital's own naming.
