Tucker Pup's Pet Resort

A boarding and daycare resort on Carpenter Street, a couple of blocks west of Halsted in the Fulton Market district. Marketed as West Loop, which is how most people will search for it.

Accommodation. Private, glass-front boarding suites for sleeping. Dogs are not kennelled during the day — boarding guests join all-day group play, indoors and outdoors, the same as daycare dogs.

Requirements. Rabies for dogs four months and older, distemper and parvo, bordetella, and canine influenza with at least the H3N2 strain. The influenza requirement is stricter than most Chicago facilities ask for and catches people out, so check that vaccine specifically. Dogs in group play cannot be overly rough, and a pattern of snapping at or trying to bite people is disqualifying.

Hours. Open 365 days a year. Drop-off for group play runs from 6:45 AM, with noon the latest a dog can arrive and still join the group. Checkout is any time between 6:45 AM and 7:00 PM, which is a wider pickup window than most of this category offers.

Pricing. Rates vary by date and are quoted through the site's booking tool rather than published as a flat nightly figure, so you will need your dates to get a number.
